I only heard today about Brian's passing and couldn't believe it.
I hadn't seen Brian for over 30 years from when I left the Concast Plant at British Steel, but always had lovely memories of him.
A clever engineer, always willing to pass on help and information, but more importantly a lovely open man with a great sense of humour.
My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

I didn’t read comic books growing up, I didn’t need to

Uncle Brian was my real life Superman

I’m sure he wouldn’t have minded the analogy.

Selfless to a fault.
Always had the right answer.
And he would appear before you realised his help was needed.

I believe in legacy - and nobody I know personifies this as much as Brian - his outlook on life and way of thinking will live on in a lot of people in this room.

His amazing daughters, grandkids, nieces and nephews are already showing his humour, tenacity and love for life.

Whenever there is a situation, we will stay calm and ask - What would Brian do?

Goodbye Superman
